San Fransisco

I guess I'm blogging a little again. haha.

My family's Christmas gift this year was to take a little road trip up the coast. We stopped at Monterey Bay and went to the aquarium. (So many Jellyfish!) Then we headed to San Francisco where we ate all kinds of amazing food, waltzed around Chinatown (hello kitty souvenirs for the WIN!) and rang in the New Year with Martinelli's and friends. It was great. Then we stopped in Sacramento and Carson City, NV to collect two more capitols before coming home. Here's a little video of one of our days in San Francisco. (It's much cuter/more charming on my phone haha.)

New Phone! YAY!

Soooo I recently got a new white iPhone 4! WAHOOO!! Obviously first order of business as the proud owner of my new smartypants phone is to find a case that protects and more importantly looks great. :) The one I have on it now is this one from Kate Spade. I really like it!

I feel like I want to change it up a lot though so I've constantly been looking for new cute cases. Here are some other ones I have my eyes on.

Day for Moms.

So, my mom is the best EVER!!! She is so strong and beautiful and smart and I have learned sooo much from her. I'm so verrrryyy greatful for everything she's done for me. Happy Mother's Day Mommy!

IT'S SPRING BREAK TIME NOWWW, and it definitely feels like it! Yesterday Zack and I galavanted around the haymarket with my camera and we had ice cream and it was a good time.

a blog just for cupcakes? yesplese.

I found this blog today and it's possibly my favorite blog I've found in awhile. It's completely dedicated to cupcakes. It has great recipes for making cupcakes, cool places to find cupcakes, fun things on top of cupcakes, and everything else you (or I) could ever want in a cupcake blog.

miniatures always get me.

Just look at these fun rings I found by souzoucreations on etsy! They might be a little over the top to wear, but they are so different and fun. I am definitely probably maybe considering buying one or all of them.

my friends have exciting lives.

This is my best friend Shelby. She is on a great adventure in sunny Guatemala at the present, learning Spanish and doing good things at an orphanage in Antigua. Follow Shelby's adventures here because she's funny and great!

 I had to wear something fun today because it was Tuesday. Also I just got these leggings from HONG KONG!! Sammydress.com is amazing, and I have a feeling I'll be doing a lot of business with them in the near future.

Tyler Morrison is one of my best friends, and this year he's packing up his pianosingingamazingmusic talents, leaving Union and heading to Australia for the whoooole entire year to jam with a fun group of Aussies. He is so great for real and I already miss him so much. (Also, I'm a little bit totally jealous of his traveling endeavors.) I can't wait to hear all about his adventures and how God leads him this year. I know he's going to come back with great stories.

Got to spend some time at home. It was nice to be in the sun and warmth before I head back to 4 more months of cold. :)

In my head, I imagine someday (soon!) when I don't live in a tiiiiny dorm room, I'll have a great little apartment somewhere. There will be color everywhere and cool art, and furniture, and fridge full of yummy treats. But for now, room 241 will do just fine.

I think a lot about the couple of days I spent in Paris earlier this year. Being there in the spring time, eating yummy pastries, running around trying to figure out the train system in another language, trying to figure out everything in another language, was AMAZING to say the least. I want to be there again. I'm going to learn French and go back I think. Definitely.

Tuesday morning lab is kindof the worst.

So I like to wear fun things on Tuesdays to lessen the pain of having to spend 3 hours in a smelly lab. (on a side note: lab isn't even that bad. It's actually really interesting! And as an added bonus Tyler was my lab partner today so that was fun!)
